Analysis of the problem:
We find that this problem occurred after the computer was off sharply.
With this Acrobat and Firefox not opening; and aired constantly the error message: "The application has failed to start because the side by side configuration is incorrect please see the application event log or use the command line sxstrace.exe tool for more detail" and error in the sftdcc.exe file and sfttray.exe.
After a few tests, we found that the problem was with some libraries used by Microsoft Visual C++. The machine in question was missing some components C ++ Runtime.
Identify the type of your system (X 86 or x 64). and then reinstall the Microsoft Visual C++ to solve the problem.
Solution
1. go to control Paindel and uninstall Visual C++;
2. Reboot the computer;
3. check and version of your operating system (x 86 or x 64);Then download the Microsoft Visual C++ for the architecture of the operating system of your machine:
