Internet Explorer 8, opens and closes immediately

6. When Internet Explorer finishes restoring the default settings, click Close , and then click OK twice.
7. Close Internet Explorer and reopen it. These changes will take effect the next time you open Internet Explorer.

If not solve you must uninstall and reinstall Internet Explorer

1. Close all programs.
2. Click Start and then click Control Panel.
3. Click Programs and then click turn Windows features on or off.
4. In the Windows features list, click to clear the Internet Explorer 8 and Internet Explorer 9.
5. Click Yes when you are prompted.
6. Click OK. Internet Explorer 8 and Internet Explorer 9 will be uninstalled now. The system will reboot after the installation.

To install Internet Explorer 8 Internet Explorer 9:0 pm or a computer that is running Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2, follow these steps:

1. Click Start and then click Control Panel.
2. Click Add or remove programs.
3. Verify that the check box Show updates is selected.
4. Click Windows Internet Explorer 7 or Windows Internet Explorer 8.
5. Click Remove.
